What data we collect

When you sign up, we collect your email address. We will also collect your name, which is entirely optional That's it.

We do not collect your location, payment details, or any other personal information through the signup form.

Why we collect it

We use your email address solely to send you our weekly newsletter. Your name, if provided, will only be used to address you at the start of the email. We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

How we store it

Your data is stored by us and by carefully selected third-party processors (“subprocessors”) that help us run the site and newsletter.

We may use privacy-friendly analytics (such as Plausible Analytics) to understand how visitors use our website. These tools do not use cookies and do not collect personal data. Our Plausible Analytics setup is also entirely self-hosted, meaning only we have access to that data.

Our email provider may track open rates and click rates in aggregate to help us improve the newsletter. You can opt out of email tracking by disabling remote images in your email client.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Unsubscribe at any time — every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link.
• Request a copy of your data — email us and we'll send you everything we hold (it's just your email address and name if you provided it).
• Request deletion — email us and we'll permanently delete your data from our systems and our subprocessor.
• Lodge a complaint — you can contact the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you believe your data rights have been violated. We are registered with them under registration number ZC094825.

Cookies

When you first visit, we show a cookie consent banner. If you decline, no tracking or advertising cookies are set. If you accept, we load the Meta Pixel (operated by Meta Platforms Inc), which sets cookies (such as _fbp) to help us measure the performance of our ad campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. No personal data from our newsletter signup is shared with Meta through this pixel.

Our analytics (Plausible Analytics) are cookieless and load regardless of your cookie choice, as they collect no personal data.

You can change your cookie preference at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site.
